Gary Bulloch, President/CEO of American Stainless & Supply was presented the South Carolina Ambassadors Award on September 17, 2007.
This presentation took place at the Governor’s Mansion in Columbia SC where the Honorable Mark Sanford presented the award to all 2007 SC Ambassadors for Economic Development.
This award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to community and state development. Ambassadors are recognized for their leadership in activities that promote economic development in South Carolina.
Mr. Bulloch was commended for his purchase of a 165,000 square foot facility, formerly owned by Cooper Tools, and relocating his business to Chesterfield County. In doing this, he consolidated inventory into one location and more than doubled his staff. “It’s amazing the number of talented individuals in this area who have lost their jobs due to outsourcing and business closures,” said Mr. Bulloch in a recent interview, “We have truly been blessed by bringing this talent on board, and in return, they have been afforded the opportunity to continue working and living in a community they’re proud to call home.”
